First installation

Install in four steps

  1. Download the Console DMG

On an Apple-silicon Mac running macOS 26.0 or later, download kaidera-os-console-v0.1.237.dmg.

  2. Run the included package

Open the disk image, then run the included .pkg through the standard macOS Installer flow.

  3. Let the Operator complete setup

The all-in-one installer includes the Operator, managed Python 3.12, and Apple Container 1.1.0 for first-run setup.

  4. Open the console

Use the Kaidera OS Operator to finish setup and open the console. Cortex remains the name of the included coordination and memory layer.

Commercial access

License after the trial

The installer includes a nine-day commercial trial. A Kaidera OS application license is required after the trial; for access or renewal help, contact [email protected].

Existing installation

Use the companion only when needed

The Operator DMG is a companion for an existing Kaidera OS runtime. For a new or repaired full installation, use the Console DMG or direct all-in-one package instead.

Release verification

Match the SHA-256 before you install

Run shasum -a 256 <filename> in the download folder and compare the output to the matching published value.
